Presently she is working at ZERO where she is a member of the Board of Directors, she coordinates the area of Sustainability and New Forms of Economy (working more closely on circular economy issues with a particular emphasis on reduction and reuse) and acts as project coordinator, in Portugal, of the European Project LIFE AskREACH (LIFE16 GIE/DE/000738).
Formerly, she was a postdoctoral research fellow at Social Sciences Institute of the University of Lisbon (ICS-ULisboa). She has a PhD in Sociology from the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL). She has worked as a researcher in the field of Environmental Sociology for more than two decades in the areas of risk perception, environment and health, energy efficiency and renewable energies and chemicals in daily life. She is a founding member of Coopérnico – Cooperativa de Desenvolvimento Sustentável, CRL, the first Portuguese cooperative dedicated to renewable energies and of ZERO – Association for the Sustainability of the Earth System.
